Text[0]=["Punctuation","I changed this from a comma to a semi colon. "]
Text[1]=["Trimming the Fat","This sentence was wordy. Plus, 'Goodness knows?' is just bad writing-- I knew. So I should have said as much. Also, I was stumbling into purple prose a bit. There are times when you can get poetic and other times when it's just pure bullcrap. That is why you need to revise!"]
Text[2]=["Pronoun Confusion","I changed 'everyone knew' to 'we all knew' because everyone might not know, but the people I was referring to in the beginning of the paragraph DID know."]
Text[3]=["Spelling!","Although this word appears throughout the whole of my essay, I am only highlighting it at it's first appearance. I have put a hyphen into it as its original spelling was hyphenated. However, now it is apparently accepted with, or without the hyphen. Check it out! <a href='http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Midi-chlorian'>Wikipedia: Midi-chloria</a>"]
Text[4]=["Punctuation","Are there massive ammounts of midi-chlorians in all of the Yodas? Or does Master Yoda have a high level of midi-chlorians? Even when you know that an apostrophe should separate the s from a name unless you want the name to becocme a plural... it sometimes happens. Which is why proofreading and revisions are a necessary part of writing."]
Text[5]=["Clearing Up My Thesis","I really fussed up my thesis here. It had nothing to do with the casusl use of the Force and saying that it did, sets my readers up to expect an argument or at least a discussion on as much. So I trimmed it down and clarified myself."]
Text[6]=["Punctuation","I omitted a completely unecessary comma. I got comma happy."]
Text[7]=["Punctuation and Sentences","I like run-on sentences, but this one didn't play right. It was clunky. I am trying my hardest to use my reference material here and go at this from a scholastic viewpoint (ie. this was wrong because of X) but I am finding myself wrapped up in style more than anything else. I divided the sentence: 'He artfully sidesteps, two-steps and quicksteps his way right over the subject of the midichlorians in a sentence and a half making me wonder if he really was all that concerned with them.' into 2 sentences so that it reads 'He artfully sidesteps, two-steps, and quicksteps his way right over the subject of the midi-chlorians in a sentence and a half. Which made me wonder if he really was all that concerned with them.' All the period did was give the reader a chance to take a breath, and pause for a second, which is good. This essay was filled with run-on sentences. Which is NOT a good thing. Some are good and add flavor. Too many can be a pain. "]
Text[8]=["repetition","With this one I took out the repeating phrase, ecological standpoints. Once barely makes any sense anyways, especially in an essay about Star Wars, but twice and the phrase starts to lose all sense at all, like when you repeat a word over and over and it becomes meaningless. To prove how important proofreading is, I just realized that although I have turned in the revision 'farther' was missing an r... "]
Text[9]=["Confusing","The part of the sentence which reads, 'it became apparent that she had a good solid point about not just the Force as it surrounds and binds us, but what she thought about the change from the viewpoint of the Jedi Council and their midichlorians to their belief that the Force surrounds us like Bortolin’s Nirvana.' really doesn't make a lot of sense. I knew what I was trying to say, that she had a good point about the shift in the Jedi's belief of how the Force worked from Episodes I-III to when Luke is learning about the Force in IV-VI, but how to make it clear? I ended up with this: , it became apparent that she had a good solid point about not just the Force as it surrounds and binds us, but what she thought about the change from the viewpoint of the Jedi Council of the Old Republic with their midi-chlorians to their paradigm shift in belief that the Force surrounds us like Bortolin’s Nirvana during the fall of the Empire due to the Rebellion. And that made way more sense."]
Text[10]=["Punctuation","Its. If it belongs to something there is not an apostrophe between the s and the it. Which I know. But when I get typing... which is why, it pays to proof-read. Mistakes like this one cost more than you think. And when you're out in the real world, they cost even more."]
Text[11]=["Plagarism","I know that I cited Cooke's essay, but I did not properly cite her within my essay after I used her quote here. That is a big mistake. Again, proofreading and revision always help."]
Text[12]=["Grammar","Because of the way the previous sentence is written, when I put the statement, 'his arguement' in the next sentence and George Lucas was the last 'he' mentioned, I have subject confusion. So I rewrote my sentence to put myself as the active subject: 'I won’t fall back on meagerly saying, “His argument makes more sense” while pointing in Bortolin's direction either, I promise.' "]
Text[13]=["Trimming the Fat","This was one of the most clunky, repetitive paragraphs. So I made good use of my backspace and delete keys. Instead of 'making his case' I used the plain English version: starts. "]
Text[14]=["Spelling","rational v rationale? spelling mistakes are the worst!"]
Text[15]=["Italics","I figured that 'helps us' looked out of place being un-italicized."]
Text[16]=["Formality","The 'Makes sense' was just way too casual, so I put an 'it' in there."]
Text[17]=["Trimming the Fat","I was more than a little slapdash and casual, and to put it bluntly I was downright disrespectful when I used the term 'Buddhist falafel.' So these paragraph was very heavily edited. "]
Text[18]=["Clunky","The wording of book vs essay compilations was just hard to read here."]
Text[19]=["Terminology","When I looked back, I realized I had more than just books as resources, so I swapped the word books for resources instead. It's still an overly casual sentence, but it doesn't detract from the paragraph as much as some of my others. Want a reminder? <a href='http://webdreamy.net/wordpress/?p=4'>Look back here!</a>"]
Text[20]=["Grammar","I can't remember what the correct terminology on this one is, but I know I did it wrong. I mixed up my I/You pronouns? in this sentence so badly that it was more like I mangled them. Anyhow, I swapped I for you and it works much better. "]
Text[21]=["The Force","Something was off in this sentence, and I am not sure how to explain it. Sometimes you just have to feel your way around it. Often times when proofreading it helps not only to have a friend (or more than one) read your work ***make sure they are a trusted friend who will be brutally honest and not say, 'I liked it-it was good' or 'we all have bad papers sometimes'*** or to read it out loud or have your partner/spouse/friend read it out loud to you, because that is where you are going to find out where alot of your clunky sentences and punctuations are."]
Text[22]=["Punctuation","This sentence didn't make any freaking sence until I set off 'that supposed metaphysical symbiont within' with the hyphens. Before that it just felt like a big huh? It was hard to get a grasp on what the subject of the sentence was."]
Text[23]=["Trimming the Fat","I cut out the 'I'm with Bortolin on this one' I've already said this, a couple of different ways, and in addition to that, one of my praises of his argument is that he doesn't repeat himself, but here I am, repeating myself! Trimming the fat. Despite all these 'Trimming the Fat' headings you see, my page and paragraph count are the same, there's only a 35 word difference between my draft and the revision. But what a difference in readability those 35 words make!!"]
Text[24]=["Spelling","why? WAY. Much like the WAY! So that is How many spelling errors? 3! You might not think that's a lot, but this was a late semester essay. And please take time to note, these are all common words that SPELL CHECK will NOT recognize!"]
Text[25]=["Cliches and Stuff","Movies don't really fade into the sunset. But they do disappear into our memories. How many of us remember say, <a href='http://imdb.com/title/tt0120794/'>Prince of Egypt</a> or <a href='http://imdb.com/title/tt0102703/'>Prayer of the Rollerboys?</a>"]
